Outriggers holders, storage area, for my 24.5 Osprey?

Switched out my outriggers last spring.
Bought a pair of the Telescopic Taco 15 ft extended
about 6.5 retracted.
Do any of you guys have a trick for stowing them on a Osprey?
Mine is a 1996 24.5 CC
I thought about the build in rodholders in the gunnals.
I just dont want to bend or break the eyelets off.
Also, any other ideas for more rod holders?
I would like to keep the look clean as possible
Yet be able to get to easy if needed.

Bryan,I keep mine in the holders while running [collapsed],and use a brass snap and cord as a safety line,and take them out of the boat at home

Yeah, I also use a saftey line in them.
I was just worried about breaking off an eyelet on them.
I just ordered some new sleeves for the rod holders.
I have the striker bases as well.
 they are not connected to the outriggers
I was thinking about pinning them some way?
Now I just have them tapped together
Maybe a small bolt or clip drilled through?
Hate to loose a base
they would be easy to drop in I think

Mine are pointed I was looking at the place on the transom where they might touch, bang up against

Do you have a hardtop? Mine are mounted on top and I pull them down with a cord.

No not a hardtop.
Just a canvas t top
