If you ever want to stay there call them direct not the reservation line, you get the better price that way.

That other fish was a Mangrove snapper,we were staying at fiesta key, between Islandmorada and Marathon, been going to the same place for 7 years now, can't beat $79 a night.

Thanks Scott.  Mangrove is my favorite.  I grew up on Sugarloaf Key.  Mangrove was the Kid-Fish De Luxe !!   ....and Grunts.  Never underestimate that fish for table fare.  They are small, but pretty dern good.  ...and Hogfish   ...and my sister swears she fried a batch of Pinfish one time.

Good memories.... can't wait to return one day soon.

Thanks again for your photos, T

Believe it or not i thought of you when i took that pic.

I do mostly free diving with alittle scuba mixed in,messed up my left ear years ago and just can't clear it to go deep anymore.

T a have to agree Mangrove snapper is about my fav fish to eat,get a mess of those 10" fish and you can't beat it,i like the small ones better than the bigger ones.
