I just caught this bluegill yesterday afternoon in Lakeland, FL. It weighed 2 lb 6 oz.
The state record is 2 lb 15 oz.




I caught it on one of these...

I saw a repro mount of the Alabama and World record.  Can you believe 4#-12oz?  :shock:

Thats one bad ass bluegill... Don't tell a soul where that pond is! There is probably a bigger one in there!

That's a stallion :cheers:

That lure is one of the favorites at Lake Fork, Tx...world famous for huge largemouth.

They have a bunch on the wall there at the restaurant....all of them are over 16 pounds...couple 18+  :shock:

Up north, lots of worms... :thumleft:  :thumleft:  Not worms in the fish, earthworms for bait!  Down here, well, I don't see to many earthworms!  How about night crawlers?

Here's another that I caught in the same lake about 6 months ago. I caught it on the same plug while fishing for bass.  
It weighed 2 lb 1 oz.  Holding its belly was like holding a baseball...
