You guys are funny. I have an awesome girl and the only poon I chase now has scales. I have tarpon on the brain worse than most, hence my name. As to the marriage, my girl is as cool as they come. In fact, yesterday when I asked, Babe, what do you think about me buying this hull? she responded by saying why don't you buy it and put a big bow on it for my wedding present.....

I'm not sure what's going on, but something is

Marry her -----quick

Doc...concur wholeheartedly.

You know, Scott, if you posted that pic of the scoop strainer on THT, it would turn into a 10 page thread will multiple that the builder was lower than whale chit on the evolutionary scale...

Carry on.  Love the cleanliness for the pics.  That's a mark of a good shop, 'cause we all know it gets damn dirty inside that hull... :salut:  :salut:

Thanks Rick!

Looks can be deceiving...that is actually a new, green, energy-saving passive bilge pump. When the boat gets on plane, all of the water inside rushes to the back and is scooped out into the ocean :thumright:

Shrewd eh?

That's hilarious

Really though... what's it for??  Why are you installing a clamshell there?  Livewell?

Speaking of holes in the hull of your boat... After I installed the bilge pump/plumbing in my rig (before I ever put her in the water), I decided I'd fill up the bilge with water and test the pumps out.  To my surprise, water was flowing out of 6 3/8" holes randomly drilled through the hull

There was someone else that wanted this boat where the boat was previously employed (it was a work boat), and I theorize the holes in the bottom were an act of jealous sabotage when said person didn't get the boat.  Needless to say, I patched them up.  It was a good thing I decided to install bilge pumps before I did a water test.  I don't think I would have made it past the dock

Paige was over my shoulder reading this, and promptly cooed to pieces.  She says she loves you Scott

Hey, thanks Jess! It feels good to be loved :thumright:

Paige is a great girl, you guys make a terrific couple...looking forward to seeing you

PS...the clamshell pickup is for the Dorado-style livewell.

Remember Jess, almost all livewell pick-ups are scoop, or high-speed, pick-ups.  On plane, will fill a livewell WITHOUT the pump running!

Maggie looks over my shoulder sometimes too...
