Well Colin, what's the deal?  I mean, we love having you here, but once the boat's sold, I doubt you'll have much reason to return, unless you buy another AS.  So, ...............

You know what! I think two things, if it sells I WILL buy another AS because  a) I like how well they are built b) I like being a part of a very enthusiastic, helpful & freindly group (you lot!) and i'm quite touched by your comments. I tell you what I would like, I would like to buy one direct from where they were built FLORIDA (mine has been in UK I guess for a good few years, I don't have any info. on when it came over but it has not been very well cared for since it arrived) how would I go about buying & transporting to UK Thamesport (near to london)

Colin,
It's great to see your enthusiasm for the AS brand, and we certainly do hope you buy another.  However, regardless of what brand of boat you buy, you are more than welcome here, as you have a good knowledge of boats, how they work, etc.  And as the boys here well know, I can verify that all boats have many things in common, so at times the brand of boat becomes a moot point, it's the problems and issues that are at the forefront...

Here in FL, there are a ton of great shape Aquas for sale, the issue for you is transport.  There are so many members that live within mere miles of all the major areas, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami, the Space Coast, Sarasota, Ft. Myers, West Palm, Lauderdale, that any one of us could check out a boat you may be interested in.  Then it's simply a matter of pulling the trigger and dealing with the transport...

Good luck, old chap! :thumright:

Thanks Seabob both for the compliments & the offer of assistance when I eventually sell this one & buy another over your side of the pond. Transport should not be a great problem except for the cost, I have in the past bought cars from the west coast - LA & from mid west - Chicago area. It has to be financially viable though. Boats (as most other things) are generally less expensive over there and are built to a much higher spec. than those available here so they are a more attractive purchase in UK than a European craft. The bonus is that an American boat  will a) sell at a better price, b) sell in preference to a European boat & c) Cost of transport, duty & vat should be covered with the higher sale price. The attraction to me is I can own a superior boat for a while and sell it with little or even with no financial loss (maybe even make a bit) and it would give me pleasure in the process.

I don't really know how Facebook works to be honest with you, it's a bit of a mystery to me but you should be able to see the video's on the Ebay listing.  300579683835
