No Aquas in Venice

Just got back from Italy - no Aquasports in northern Italy...  I know there are a bunch around Rome - expected to see some in Venice, but just a couple Whalers and a bunch of Euro-boats.  I will post some pics after the jet lag/wine hangover is gone...    :drunken:

Flying east to west messes me up.  Kinda like going to CA from FL.  My watch says 6 hours since I left Tampa, yet it's only 3 hours later in LA...weird...

Welcome home Capt, Venice is a nice place, went there once by train from Trieste which was a liberty port for us.  Did you see the glass blowing factory?

We spent a day on Murano island, where they make all that amazing glass art.  Incredible what they can do with glass.   :thumleft:  

We also spent time on Burano island, which is a little fishing community that is famous for linens & embroidery.  Burano has houses that are painted every color of the rainbow - supposedly that helped the fishermen find their house when it was foggy or when they were a little foggy from too much vino or grappa...   :drunken:
