sticky resin
« on: June 29, 2011, 10:16:37 PM »
I mixed some talc and silica to coat over my floor with polyester resin. As far as I know I put a good amount of mekp -- enough to where I think it would harden and be sandable...that was yesterday...today it was still sticky.

Note its been raining and humid.

So my question is this: will this resin mix up or do i have to do something to remove the resin. If so, how do I remove it?

Sounds like you used laminating resin.  It's designed to stay tacky for a little while so you can coat over it w/out having to abrade the surface.  Give it a few more days and see if it hardens up.

Correct, unless you added wax, your glass will be tacky for a day or two after.  Now if it's soft, thats a different issue...
