Oh and the cap I'm pretty sure isnt original. It looks like they glassed a PVC pipe to the inside edge. From the looks of the pictures you just sent and the ones I've seen in the brochures that edge is more square. I would have loved to have an original cap but what I have seems pretty solid though so maybe I can cut that round piece off and maybe just do a smooth cap all the way around. I'm hoping anyway.

Yep thats mine, still under construction but it's going back the way it came from the factory. I got lucky & found an un-molested boat, but the foam in the stringers was wet & the wood core of the deck was literally gone.
I think the lip at the edge of the cap helps stiffen up that edge, might need something there.
This one isn't mine, found it on the web, a 1969 19-1 in front of the Sailfish Marina sometime around 1970. Check out the flip flop seat.

Im almost positive this is the original config. I spoke with this guy before he sold it and he said the boat has been in his family since it was new. If you can get to his photo bucket, he had a ton of pics in it.
Good luck

Check out the 68` or 69` electric shift 55 Evinrude pushing her. I knew those motors like the back of my hand. We would cringe everytime we saw one pull up to the dealership! Late 60`s Motorola "electronic ignition" and that fabulous electric shift gearcase! Not everything was better in the old days!!

I believe there was a 19-1 Gull and a 19-1 Osprey model, I know for sure mine is a 19-1 Gull, says so on the bottom of the console tray! and it has the console mounted forward up against the casting deck, must have been the Osprey model that had the console in the more traditional spot, along with the rigging channel under the deck. My deck was completely closed, with the rigging running along the bottom of the starboard side cap.

That's cool to know about the console difference on the Gull and Osprey. The only other difference that I found was that the Gull had a bigger gas tank tank.
