Trolling Motor install. 2004-175 Osprey
« on: February 21, 2011, 11:26:19 AM »
Hi all,

I am new here. This site looks great !    I just bought a 175 Osprey that I am thinking of putting a bow mounted  trolling motor on. I like the Minnkota Riptide motors.  Does any one have any tips for me in regards to size ( lbs of thrust), model types and mounting tips ?   I am undecided weather to go with a 12 or 24 volt system and I  am  also wondering where to put the batteries so I have a properly balanced boat.

What are your thoughts?

Does anyone have  any pictures of a mounted trolling motor and/or a picture of the battery locations?

thanks,

Patrick
