Free Online Boater Safety Course
« on: December 09, 2010, 10:52:23 AM »
On the topic of safety I'm not sure if everyone is aware of the Boat US free online boater safety course.

http://www.boatus.org/onlinecourse/default.asp

I'm not sure if everyone knows this but in Florida anyone born on or after January first 1988 must have a photo ID and a boater safety ID card issued by the FWC to operate a boat.

For everyone else and even the old salts this online course is a great refresher course.  I'm working on it now and I have already learned more than I thought I would.  When your done with the course you can print out a certificate and mail or fax it to the FWC for your ID card.  Just sign in and create a account and you can take the course at your own leisure.
