240 Sea hunter?
« on: October 08, 2010, 07:44:07 PM »
Is this boat a 240 sea hunter? I looked at it today. There are no Aquasport identifcation marks on the hull. No hull number, no AS badges on the sides. The boat is old, probably from the 70's. It has a green rubrail, foam filled slightly pyramid shaped stringers, and foam poured on the far outside of the stringers, in the hull. Of course, the foam is waterlogged. The boat was at one time an i/o.  I am pretty sure it is an AS seahunter. I have a 77' 22-2 and it has the same lines, strakes and deadrise.

Yup, looks like it. Here's a great read on a 240 rebuild - you can scan through to see the identifying pics you need.  Not sure the rebuild ever was completed though.

If you look closely in this pic, you can see them. Right up there near the bow.

I was curious about that also.

Rick
do you know of anyone who has pics of a 240 seahunter in the pic gallery?

Thanks,
Oliver

She's a 240 Sea Hunter. Beautiful lines. You could set her up as a CC, or dual console dayboat with setees, whatever. There was one here in town a while back....pretty much a shell. But she still had "the look."

If you have the time/$, buy her. She's a classic.

The little head/cuddy in the bow gives it away as a 240 Sea Hunter.  Cool classic boat and built like a tank...

Mark Sr.,

Your family has been here since day one. Thanks for hanging.

Sorry for your injury. Us graybeards around here are with you.

That boat of yours, are you interested in giving her a new home? I have a friend who is all about 240's. Give a PM if you choose.

Again, thanks.
