Paradise
« on: October 06, 2010, 08:18:41 PM »
Had to post these, this was from last Saturday afternoon, when I decided to head out for the evening dining out, the weather forecast was grim, but unexpectedly in the afternoon, it laid down, and turned out nice.  These were taken from atop the sand dunes on the spoil island by Ft. McRee, and looking out towards the pass and the gulf.  This is where Lewis and his gang and our's hung out the previous Saturday.  I wish I could build a hut out there and live there

Exactly Pete, the spoil island was created years ago when the new ICW land cut was dredged out which is right at the NAS Pensacola marina and the ramp.

Marc,

You're right...its paradise. And eighty feet of water, right off the beach....even more awesome. I'm happy for you guys....but must admit, jealous too.

 :D

Good for you guys, and thankful you all made out okay this summer.

Want to reiterate, that jumping dolphin pic is awesome. Enter it in a local event around there....you may be surprised.

Best,

Scott

great shots Marc.  Kind of reminds me of a place closer to home.  Orange Beach.
