gas tank vent where is it ?

i have an 05 explorer  and it doesn't seem to have an external gas tank vent. Do they use some type of special  gas cap?

Back in my day, the Explorers had a separate vent mounted in the hullside just below the fill.  I bet they cheapened up and went with the fill/vent combination.  You should have an access pie in the inwale right by the fill.  Pull that off and see if the vent hose is attached to the fill...

mine is on the cap , i don't not have a vent anywhere in the hull

Mine is also in the fill atleast you dont have to worry about water getting in.
