Two Explorers on the ramp today
« on: July 10, 2010, 05:46:12 PM »
What are the odds of this: I'm launching my 245 Explorer at the same time another guy is taking out his 225 Explorer. I live in northern Michigan and I NEVER see any Aquasports. Seeing a little brother to mine next to me at the ramp was just too weird. The guy didn't stop to chat. WTF?
Here's a pic of the wife and the mutt enjoying a great day today.

Yeah, people just don't get it....
Your dog looks just like mine - mine is a mix of lab and I'm guessing Chow or Rot.  55 lbs and lean and loves the water.  Looks like your's is ready to pounce on you if you move.
N Michigan - were you wearing a wet suit?  :D

CD,

Looks to be an awesome day. Your boat is in pristine condition!

Too bad your ramp buddy forewent the opportunity.

I too admire your dog. He's attentive.....

Handsome dog.  I have a yellow lab and I really would like to take him out on the AS.  But he is old and has hip problems and I don't want him to over do it.  Maybe on a calm day I can take him out.

Admire a man who loves his family, and in these parts, dog is family. Good deal.

No wetsuit needed then. But today on a 40' dive, a 7mm wetsuit was in order!

I had a yellow for nine years until the big "C" got her. Best dog ever. She NEVER lost a bird whether it was woodcock in Michigan, pheasants in North Dakota, or ducks in Indiana. The black one is smart as hell but hasn't hunted much yet. I didn't want to hunt for a couple years after losing my yellow. It was tough. "the new guy" is about the party. But a sweeter dog has never lived. He's a good boy.

You've  hit the nail squarely on the head. Probably why I'm not a cat person.

Great observation.

That's pretty cool.  It always turns my head when I see another Aquasport being trailered or at the gas station, but I've yet to see one being launched with mine.
