I believe the term is "first come, first served"...

I just wonder what I'm going to win?  Frozen Mahi Mahi steaks, overnighted?

My bad, just went back and read...best I be at the next gathering!

Sorry for the delay but was back down in the Keys fishing last weekend! We did OK but not as good as this trip was.

And the weight of the fish was

.

45.9 pounds. I thought it was at least 50 but the scale dosent lie. Exact dimensions were 57.5" at the fork, 69 overall closed tail, 31.5" around at gills, and the head was 12" tall.

Bill,

Glad you guys again enjoyed the Keys...and you were there for the Fourth...good deal. Hope you all had a great time. And thanks for your post regarding Mister Big's weight. What a stallion...damn nice fish. You had the board ALL over the board, literally and figuratively....WOO-HOO!!

Guess we'll sort out who takes the Grand Prize.....bragging rights for two posts, case of Premium Pabst, photo opp. with the Hooter's Girls....we're always a team here...stick around......

Pretty boat of yours too...thanks for the fun, and thanks for being a teammate.

Best,

gran

Billsaquasport,

That was a beautiful fish. I'm 55 years old, and can remember EVERY bull dolphin over 30 pounds that ever hit the deck on my boats.

They are the only fish that you can tell male from female on first sight. And the bull's show it. They're all male. Bunch of fighters. They say a big Cobia does damage to a cockpit....try a 60 lb. raging bull dolphin.

Putting a big boy of that size in the boat is no piece of cake.

Big Yellowfin Tuna....Big Bull Dolphin....same adventure.... :D

No question, when the pics were snapped the fish was right at 50#.

Thank you again....keep 'em comin'!

Agree. The weight when caught, per supplied photo, was 50 pounds minimum.
