CUSHIONGUY
« on: June 14, 2010, 10:25:59 PM »
Members,
I want to introduce Gary Helms (he doesn't know this yet, although I do have his permission..), his company is G & H Sales, and has been making almost all of Proline's upholstered parts for, like, to long to remember!  Seat cushions, bolsters, bow cushions, you name it.  I contacted Gary today about building 2 sets of bow cushions for (2) 250 Ospreys, he's happy to do it, and at a good price!  He has felt the extreme downturn of the boat market in his business, and would really appreciate the work.  Anytime you see a PL on the water and see the upholstery in the cockpit, that is his work.

If we can get him the vector drawings of the original AS logo as well as the last logo, he can do the embroidered logos right into the cushions, just like AS used to do.

I ain't making a penny off this, I just thought it would help out both the members and a good business man who saw his business go south through no fault of his own.

His email is ghelms@tampabay.rr.com

What say Ye?

Bob

I need a complete set of cushions for my 94 osprey.
front console/livewell seat
backrest for the same seat
cooler seat with flip back
Would love to have "Aquasport" on the back of the front seat.

Bump,
I have emailed Gary telling him about my post and to tell him to come on board tomorrow and introduce himself.

He'll help us all out, and it will do good to get him and Gail some business... :thumleft:

Once again bob...
                           ....this is Awesome.

As for the vector file, CajunSportsman posted the artwork on the  Aquasport Resources section' viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5496 the first file is the classic aquasport logo artwork in vector format. Its for a 222 CCP, but that can be taken out an exchanged for any model or typeface you may have. (i think the "222 CCP" was added later)

If anyone has a modern Aquasport logo or different model boat and would like it converted to a vector image let me know.  Im a graphic designer by trade and I can redraw your logo to a vector file. Just PM me and I'll get back with you about the details

Scott,
Hey, now I've got Inca Fuel Tanks on board (I do make a little money on them... ), so we'll see where we can go...

Thanks for the help on the logos.  I know a bit about EPS/Vector/Rasterized images as far as a print shop is concerned, but you know a HELL of a lot more than me! :thumleft:

Morning all,
I am Gary Helms (aka CUSHIONGUY) and have been working with Proline for many years producing their upholstery.  I will try to help you guys out as best I can with finding materials.  I haven't done any AS boats yet but I am going to do some research to see just what materials they use and their sourses and patterns.  Thanks Bob for the exposure.
