transom cracks

i just bought a 1981 24.6 aquasport walk around and it has 2 cracks on the transom and the whole transom moves when i put pressure on the motor any feedback on what i cant can do to fix that i would greatly appreciate

Lets see some pics of the cracks. My twin 115`s have flexed on the transom for years, but I only have very small amount surface cracks. No breach into the glass or wood yet. When the time comes for the transom to be replaced, I`m doing the deck as well and a complete rebuild. My floors are still rock solid. So I figure I have a couple of years then its time to dive in. So if your transom is gone then its time for a complete rebuild and do the job once. My engines move 3/8 of an inch in rough water but it is holding together. Show us what you got!

There is at least one topic of a member rebuilding his XF's transom, with a bunch of pics - came out nice.  Do a search.

Yikes! Looks like shes ready. Looks like someone has been nursing that transom previousy. Nice metalwork on the custom L brackets. That honkin V8 is playing hell on the old girl. But still lighter than a 200 fourstroke. Looks like she spent alot of time in the water, given the bottom paint. Time to decide if your going to go for it or not. The biggest concern beyond the obvious is the stringer condition and the connection to the transom. If she has water intrusion into the foam filled stringers, the job just got a lot more complex and expensive. That said, if you plan on keeping her and she is now a classic hull, why not. I`ve said this before; we are buying these boats at the bottom of the depreciation curve and there is some momentum in the market for these boats in restored condition. Check out what some of these boats are selling for after rebuild. $15-35K with new power. There is a wealth of knowledge in this forum to walk you through the project if your willing to devote the time, sweat and expense. If the job is too big or time is a premium; you can outsource to a recommended shop.

oh im defiantly goin to keep her this is the boat i have been looking to find and i found her at the right price. i am starting school for marine mechanics monday im going to take the boat to the schools shop and work on her there im good with engines but hull rebuilds are another language to me lol so any advice i can get would be much appreciative!

Well I would start by reading rebuilds here - and ask questions specifically after you figure out what you want to do.  For example, the pour versus wood versus coosa has been debated enough here to get a good idea of the pros / cons.  But if you have specific questions, bring them up and folks will answer.
