Finally got the old Battlewagon back from the shop to rework the fuel delivery system per Fitz's recommendation. Then the ramp stayed jammed up every chance I had to dump her...so finally today I took the morning off, went and filled her up, put the plugs in, ran the motors in the yard, said a prayer, and went to the ramp.
Had a helluva time getting her off the trailer. She was HEAVY. The bow eye wouldn't come off the roller of the new trailer. Hung up on the top. Finally put the truck wheels in the water...that did the trick.
Cranked right up....steering hung up....fixed that. The twins idled right down, ran great. Took her out to the ICW for speed trials.
She ran awesome. I'd say she would run in the upper 30's at around 5K....don't know, the tachs don't work. Wouldn't steer at any speed over 30 mph...hydraulic steering will solve that.
Torqued over to the starboard side at speed.
I'm really happy to get that kind of performance...I may be wrong, but I'll bet she weighs over 4000 lbs with all the water in the deck and stringers....You can tell she's HEAVY...sits LOW, too.
Miss Marco....low rider!
We're gonna get her right....I'm happy.
Thanks all.
