[/img]Hi All,I'm new here(great site BTW), looking for advice on removing the deck of my girl. She has given too many good days on the water to give up now.8 years ago I repaired and shot the boat's hull with Awl Grip, and now it seems time to do the stringers. My STBD stringer is lifting at the transom going forward about 2 feet from what I can see.I'm sure the entire deck should come off to do things correctly and inspect it all.My question is where is the best place to cut(how close to the gunwall) while still leaving a platform to reinstall the deck? Can I remove the entire deck from in front of the tank tub to the transom? The transom and fuel tank will also be replace, but I'm pretty clear on that for now.I've read a few threads here with some great pics, but really only want to cut once.Any pics or advise would be very helpfull. Thanks in advance,Kedd
I really tried.Keeps telling the image is more than 600 pixels high.Did the resize and allKedd
Hi Rick,Thanks.I think I want to leave the bow compartment area alone, but remove the rest of the sole. The sole doesn't seem to be soft, but who knows what I'll find.Did you reuse the any of the sole, or replace it all?Do you have a thread with pics showing the work?Do you think this work can be done on a roller trailer, or will the pressure be uneven where the rollers are?Kedd
