Is a 1981 17.5 osprey a better or worst boat then a 1976 170? Thanks

I would say that they are probably about the same.  They may have changed the liner in the 81 a little but overall you'll get the same ride out of each.

Same basic boat.  I think both were made I Hialeah, FL.  But I am not sure on that.

Do both have the same scupper system in the transom?

That I don't know.  The engine mount widths changed sometime along that timeframe so maybe the scuppers were widened to accomodate that?  My scuppers are covered mostly by the engine mount
