Auqasport 23'
« on: May 20, 2010, 06:40:59 PM »
Hey guys I'm new here, glad to find this forum about Aqua's.  I'm thinking about getting this rig but don't know that much about aqua's hope ya'll can help.

It's a 1993 23' explorer with a single 200hp(2001)Even my first concern was the big hole in the stern     Boy one nice roller over the stern and   :pale:     Hope I can close that in

I have the option of getting the boat and trailer or the complete rig, about a -2,500.00 difference if I only get the boat and trailer. I'm going to have a survey for sure but what about the stern.  Thinking about twin 130 Yama's or a single 200 with a small kicker.   Hope ya'll can help me out.

Will post pics when I figure out how to resize them

Thanks guys

Welcome aboard Jiggy  :!:  :!:
Now, the 230 Explorer is a rarer version of the Explorer line - are you sure it's a 230 and not a 225?
You'll get plenty of feedback on the open vs closed vs european transom.  Just ask
Aquasport did make a closed in version too

I like my 230 because of the wide open back end: tons of wide open space, makes it easy to get in and out of. I have the original single 250 on the back.

Anyway, post some pics and we'll help you sort it out.

Leave that beautiful transom alone! Try a 73` 22-2 with twin 115`s with transom bait boxes; I`ll show ya some following sea! Still floatin after 37 years!!

This boat looks very familiar.

I believe I saw this for sale on another Forum some time ago. I don't think I knew what the factory hardtop enclosure looked like then. That's definitely it though.
It's starting to lose its appeal. :(
