Leaning post for Aquasport 200
« on: May 04, 2010, 09:17:07 PM »
I purchased a 1995 Aquasport 200 (don't know the model) and I'd like to replace the seat with a leaning post. Please give me suggestions on make/models that you have used or seen that worked out well.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions/input

Cant offer much help on the leaning post other than Birdsall marine or have a local marine fabricator make on just for you. One suggestion on that boat since I have that exact model with a yamaha 150, Trim Tabs! Best money you will ever spend

Welcome aboard SB  :!:  :!:
You have an Osprey.
You might want to modify your profile and put that info into your signature - plus enter your location so everyone knows where you're from.

I am also from Long Island, I am trying to start a gathering of Aquasport owners on Long Island for this summer. If you have any suggestions or know any other AS owners that might be interested see what they think. I have a  Osprey 200 also.
thanks,
Bob

I decided to purchase the Taco Leaning post

cc150a, I don't know any other aquasport owners. I've been without a boat for about 10 years (other than duck boats) and I'm just starting to clean up my new boat.

I understand, I am actually doing some work to my duck boat now also. I just picked up an old Evinrude motor thats been sitting for a while but started. Fuel pump leaks so rebuilding pump and replacing water pump

I put a post where my cooler seat was, and moved the cooler seat to the transom, it's great.  I'll try to post a pic. Sorry it's a disaster to try and post a pic here .  Good luck, im sure youll love it!!

You'll need to use a photo hosting site like photobucket (free) to store your pics so start there and open an acct, upload your pics, size them to 640x480, save the resized ones as the originals (that's where most people fail, they neglect to replace the originals with the resized pics) and then follow the instructions here to post them in your topics here.
