thanks. I tried to call wellcraft yesterday and got nowhere. no answer, just voice mail etc. once i realized that aquasport hadn';t been made for a long time i decided it wasn't worth it anyway. but, i guess ity may be worth another try. is a plastic tank likely to be cheaper than aluminum, and where would i get one?
Here's a place to start.http://www.moellermarine.com/
RDS makes aluminum tanks and supplied Aquasport with them for years. I just replaced mine in a 91 WAC.They have the different sizes for different model Aquas. Pretty much standard. Some have them shaped or sized differently (I had mine reduced to half its original length). Most replace the standard for standard. They're located in Perry Fla. about 4 hrs north of you.Edit:I researched a poly and would have gone with it but I was afraid of the "fuel smell" that could permeate from the tank. In an open fisherman type craft this is of no concern but could affect one with a cabin. I say could because I believe the 225 EX's come with poly tanks (again Bob C to the white phone) but there doesn't appear to be too much chatter (in this forum anyway) about fuel smell in that model's cabin. We have several members with the 225 so maybe they will chime in. In my case, I didn't want to give my wife any additional reasons (aside from claustrophobia) for not using the cabin.
That my Que,i have never smelled any thing in my cabin, but walking by the fuel vent on a hot day
