Floor soft spot, how to approach?

Hey guys,
early nineties 230 WAC got a soft spot the size of basketball, located in the cockpit floor, about 18" back from imaginary line that connects two seatposts. I am new to fiberglass work, how should I approach and assess the repair? Anyone else with similar problem that has been addressed and fixed? Thanks in advance

Anyway...
I'm guessing you are indicating an area that is on the fuel coffin cover close to the forward inspection plate (which is really kind of in the middle)?

This is off of my 210 but is similar to yours
