Floor soft spot, how to approach?

Hey guys,
early nineties 230 WAC got a soft spot the size of basketball, located in the cockpit floor, about 18" back from imaginary line that connects two seatposts. I am new to fiberglass work, how should I approach and assess the repair? Anyone else with similar problem that has been addressed and fixed? Thanks in advance

Hey Rick, you got company. :thumright:

Anyway...
I'm guessing you are indicating an area that is on the fuel coffin cover close to the forward inspection plate (which is really kind of in the middle)? :scratch:

This is off of my 210 but is similar to yours

What year? Look at the Starboard Aft of the transom and see what your HIN shows - here's what mine shows:
