Hi Paolo,
I'll let the CCP owners strut their stuff  and I'll strut mine on the Ospreys and Explorers.

The older Ospreys have a casting deck in the front and have lower gunnels around the boat.  My 170 has knee-high gunnels in the aft and just a little higher in the front.  I consider the Osprey a near shore boat.
The newer Ospreys have the casting deck and also have higher gunnels, like the CCP.

CCPs have high gunnels all around, no casting deck and I think a little more deadrise so it can handle the deeper water.  The CCPs had a big storage box in front of the console also.

Here's a good comparison http://www.classicaquasport.com/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/574

Ok CCP'ers, let it rip.

No comparison.

Different decals :?:

Rick hit it on the head.
Having owned both, the Ospery is a great shallow water boat. Light, easily powered, go fast with a smaller engine. My favorite Aqua to date (when you only can own one).

The CCP needs more water and is geared for a better ride in heavier seas but..
Because of its light weight for size, it can get into fairly shallow water with the motor tilted. It too can use a little smaller engine to push her along but likes the extra HP.
The CCP transom is funky in that it reduces fishing room.
The "coffin" is a love it/hate it element. I'm a love it fan. :thumright:
The CCP "looks" big on the trailer. :o
Both are wet riding in certain sea conditions.

I forgot the Explorers.  Take the liner out of the CCP and insert an Explorer liner and now you have a fishing/camping/cruising bow-heavy machine  8)
I really like my Explorer but LOVE my Osprey - just too easy to handle and tow.  The Explorer is a "you really have to want to go fishing/camping/cruising" beast that takes a lot of effort to get there - once you're there though - aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh.
