Dry Storage Map Tube

I thought I might share this for anyone who might be interested.

While visiting the KW plant recently, I saw these and thought they looked really useful for storing things like keys, wallets, cell phones, etc.  I'm planning on installing 2 in the console, but they could probably be used in other areas of the boat.

Used to install 3 of them on the starboard side of the console of the Hydra-Sports 3000 Vector back in '98.  I guess what's old becomes new again...

BTW, left Wellcraft to go up to Columbia and work for a couple of buddies of mine at Hydra-Sports when they were at the old Sunbird plant  in Columbia.  Lasted 4 months, went back to Wellcraft because I had problems living in 1950!!!

My dad sold Hydra Sports Boats for a short while ... I guess I never noticed them.  I've never seen these before, and KW only installs them as standard in the Oasis (Deck Boat).

I take it the Hydra Plant was a little primitive?

No, it was Columbia!  No beer sales on Sunday, last call on Sat night at 12, and stores didn't open until 1 on Sunday afternoon, and closed at 6!

Damn, one had better be prepared come Saturday night!

And, no offense, but the women...I'd go back to Sarasota a few weekends to see my daughter, and I'd see more good looking women in 15 minutes then I'd see in a week in Columbia!   Was single at the time...

Suppose I should have lived in Chucktown, but the commute would have been a beech...
