Ball-Style Scupper Valves...
« on: July 29, 2009, 09:33:44 AM »
.....work quite well on my 1990 2000 Osprey !

Amazing.

I put them on and the amount of water swilling around inside at the stern is now no more than a cup or two at any given time.

Just thought to pass this along. I got mine at Boaters World in Orlando for ~$10.00 each.....it has made a HECK of a difference.

I couldn't agree more!  Those ball scuppers are a simple, cheap, very effective solution to a very annoying problem...  They're one of my all time favorite additions to my boat.

I bought a pair, but they are too close to the mounting bracket of my outboard to install them properly.  Do you have to put them on centered, or would a little off-center work?

Those scuppers are kind of a universal fit anyway; mine didn't cover the scuppers completely... A little off-center should be ok, just fill the uneven surfaces with 5200 and you'll be fine.

Thanks.  I'll have to try them.  Not crazy about screwing them into my transom, though.   Did yours mostly go on with the 5200 or did you screw them, too?

I screwed them in.  Use 5200 for that too  :)
