Does coosa board have to be glassed over for example for new deck or does just the seams need to be taped

I've used it to make a box to put a vhf in on the shrimp boat. I glassed the surfaces and left the edges exsposed. It doesn't absorb water but if your not careful it will chip. i wouldn't use it on a floor without it being glassed
