200 ccp gas tank
« on: October 10, 2007, 10:33:27 AM »
Just got a 1984 ccp & found slime in the tank compartment.  Anyone have any experience with this?  Seems like it hangs in globs from cover, under console area, & covers tank & sides of compartment.
Looking to find the best way to clean it & stop it from reocurring.
Thanks
Russ

Russ,

Check out my thread "Refurbish 1981 200 CCP" under rebuilds.  You will see how bad mine was.  I just used some Greased Lightning and a scrub brush and it came out very clean.  It is just years of moisure & mildew and has never had sunlight.  Any pics of your CCP?
