CCP250 factory certificate
« on: August 30, 2007, 04:42:17 AM »
Hi everybody,

my name is Massimiliano Tritelli living in Rome. I'm a CCP250 1991 owner since 2006. For many years I had Boston Whaler boats and I moved to Aquasport doubtful. Today I'm happy to sail with CCP250 accounting it as a sure and amusing boat.
According with italian low I'm looking for an original homologation certificate of the boat released by qualified authority. Unlike BostonW, Aquasport was not so common in Italy and the old official dealer do not have anymore original documentation concerning this boat.
I will appreciace helps in this matter.
Many thanks

Massimiliano

There are a few brochures in our photo gallery, if that is what you are asking about, here is one of them for an '86 era 250 CCP.
If our documentation is correct, it looks like the '91 might have been the last year for the 250 CCP - the '92 brochure we have doesn't list a 250.

Click on the photo gallery on the bar above this post and on the first page scroll down and you'll see what we have for documents listed by boat size.

Welcome aquaclassic !!!  Another member from Rome!

Are you looking for the Certificate of Origin for your boat?  If you are, you should ask the person who you purchased the boat from.  If he registered the boat he should have some documents for it.  If the Certificate of Sale is what you need he should give you one.  He should also have documents that show the import duty was paid.

Hi Jim,
unfortunately I was not able to find the first owner (I'm third).
Due to Italy sail low changeover happened during last 10 years, I can sail but no having Origin Certificate I can't prove (during an authority control): max power apply, max number of passengers, lenth, weigth etc.etc.
Aquasport doesn't exist anymore in Italy. Could be usefull to me also a copy of this factory document.

bye

max

Hi Rick,
I allready visited  the section mentioned. These documents are coming from advertising brochure while I need a Factory Certificate. By the way I didn't find my CCP250 model.

Thanks anyway

As RickK wrote, look in the Gallery section.  If you scroll down you will see a brochure for a 250 but a different model.  Hopefully that will give you some information.  Also look to see if you have a builder's plate mounted somewhere in the boat.  That should also give you information.
