Hi, I have just recently purchased a 1980 aqua sport ff 22.2. I don’t know much about boat and this is my first one. I have a couple of questions.
The guy I boat from was a mechanic and told me that he went through 4 propellers before finding the right one(I have all 4). I go 22mph at 3900rpm. The throttle has alot more room to go but I was told to stay at 3900rpms or lower.
Does this sound right?
Is there any way to go faster?
How fast am I supposed to travel? (I go about 22mph at 3900rpm - the guy I bought it told me not to run it higher than that or I will blow the motor - by the way it is a 1987 4.3L mercruiser alpha 1)
