Slipping out of forward
« on: May 12, 2007, 03:38:00 PM »
I did replace the lower gear case oil/fluid last weekend as part of the tune-up yet now she slips out of forward as I stated in the previous post.   Thanks, Gary
Maine25XF. Late to the gate we love our boat. Others are humbled by the Sally-Carol. We treat her like family, only better! If you have any tips, insights, or positions on the health benefits of two-stroke exhaust,  please opine and inform. Gary

Changing oil would not cause the problem if you pumped in the fresh oil from the bottom screw opening.  Adding from the top will give you a false full and will eventually (sooner rather than later) take out the gears.
