I've always liked Merc motors and the 200 EFI is no different. Though it is somewhat thirsty, it's not as bad as a carbed motor. An Optimax will be installed probably next season. The EFI is a low hour motor and gives good performance so it will serve at least one more season.
This weekend will be in the upper 50's so I may go crappie fishing on a large lake here instead of a coast run. Either way I will post pics if we get lucky.
When I had the coffin lid off I found that the fuel tank did not occupy the entire coffin. There is about 14" left in open storage space but no access. I will be putting in a floor hatch to utilize this much needed storage area.
