1987 Osprey 170

Hello all,

I have a 1987 Aquasport 170 that is in pretty good shape overall.

The deck however has a soft spot near the factory round plastic deck plate/hatch.

I have been searching for a strong composite rectangular hatch that I could install in its place to allow me to cut out the soft area and also allow better access to the bilge when needed.

Does anyone have any photos of how they have done this?  I prefer using a flush style to help alleviate any tripping hazards of course such as the DPI flush series hatch.

Thank you in advance for your help

This is the type of hatch I am referring to.

Has anyone seen one installed?
