Good morning,

I have three questions I hope you folks on C/A can answer in reference to my 1987 22-2 Flat-Top

1). Does anyone know the hull Fiberglass lay up schedule on the topsides and the for the hull of 222 AquaSport?

2).  Is the hull solid fiberglass or cored hull sides?

3). Has anyone seen delimitation of the hull on the sides.

Thanks for all your help!

First, I'm fuzzy on a 1987 22-2 "Flat Top" model. :ScrChin:

All Aqua hulls I have ever seen are solid fiberglass, not cored.

I don't know what the layup schedule is but your cap may be cored in some areas.

I would guess someone here may have seen a hull that was delamed but I haven't. It least not one that had not suffered damage in some way. Hopefully some other members can give you more detailed answers to your concerns.

We've seen bubbles in the hull sides, so bad the hull had to be scrapped.

Thanks from the insight, the boat is 1987, 222 Osprey, and there is a few areas flexing when pushed in on the sides of the hull. The areas are aft of helm or “Mid to Stern” section of the hull.? It appears as a couple spots of delimitation maybe the size of a diner plate…. That’s why I’m trying to figure out what I’m dealing with, possibly correct the problem. I’ll try to post a video or at least some photos on the issue.
