Fuel Tank Access Cover
« on: March 09, 2021, 09:57:43 AM »
On my 185 Osprey there is a round access cover that is located just aft of the CC and just fwd of the cooler/seat. I have been told it's purpose is to access the fuel sender unit. Is this access cover threaded and screws on/off? If not, how is it removed? Thanks

Screw out type covers will be smooth around the area between the mounting ring and the cover edge. They will also have indentations to allow you to grasp the cover and twist it on and off.

Pry off covers will have indentations between the mounting ring and cover to allow a tool (screwdriver/deck plate tool) to be placed in the indent and pry the cover from the ring.
