1979 170 Rub Rail
« on: March 03, 2022, 09:40:38 AM »
Hi all - I know this has been covered and I have searched resources however... Many of the old links to what specific rub rail fits a 1979 170 do not work any more. Can anyone direct me to the model number for one? Doesn't have to be green like the original.
Thanks

Well, I can tell you what I did.
I looked at the factory configuration, aka shape and search the closest thing I could find. Matching it up was fairly straight forward and I decided what type inset to go with it. Next I measured the existing rail and bought the amount needed.

Here's the Barbour link.

Taco Marine is another supplier.

You purchase the kit that best fits your measurement. This is where I got mine. Came out great.
Not sure there is a "model specific"  for our old hulls.

Good luck. :thumright:
