jack plate on 222

has anyone installed a hydraulic jack plate onto an Armstrong bracket? Bracket has a 200 hp Suzuki, 25" shaft.
Boat is 1974 222. Looking for performance input. I need to raise the motor up and thought it would be a good time to look into jackplate.

I'm trying to figure out the same thing. What would be the best length 20" or 25" motor? Would you go with a Porta Bracket or a swim platform?

The advantage of a jack plate is it lets you fine tune the height of the motor, but too low on the motor, coming off plane or backing down = really bad. I’d go with the 25” shaft for a net plus for shallow running without the negative potential  of submerging exhaust ports or powerhead.
