If I understand your question, And you’re asking if you can wire the kill switch to the push to choke circuit on your key switch, the answer is maybe but why? Some outboards complete a circuit to kill the motor and some break a circuit. The push to choke would work to complete a circuit.
Now the why part. While pushing would kill the engine, so would turning the key. Plus, the push to choke could cause accidental kills if someone bumps into the key. The kill switch is meant to shut off the engine if the operator is thrown away from the helm or out of the boat. There’s a lanyard that is designed to be worn by the operator in a way that triggers the kill switch if he/she is thrown from the boat.
Many choose not to wear the lanyard, and everyone must choose the level of risk they’re comfortable with. So not having a kill switch is an option. Another option is going with a wireless option like the Fell Marine kill switch.
