2001 Osprey 22.5 max hp ratings

I am repowering my 2001 Osprey 22.5 and I found that my “recommended max hp rating” says 300 hp, yet the newer AquaSport models with same specs are rated at 400 hp. I have found a good set of twin motors, 2005 Mercury Optimax 200 hp that I “want” to put on her.
Thoughts from any and all are and shall be highly appreciated !!

I've always thought that the 225 was rated at 300hp. Don't recall a 400hp. The 250 was still rated a 300 also IIRC.
