Replacement Courtesy Lights
« on: June 08, 2016, 10:25:58 AM »
I'm looking to replace the courtesy lights that are along the bottom of my center console (1998 175 Osprey); see attached image.

I found a light that seems identical in proportion (referred to as a Livewell or Baitwell Light), but once it was delivered, it was about 1/3 of the size of the original.

Has anyone found a good LED replacement light/housing? The light is about 2.25" in diameter.
I rarely use the boat during the dawn/dusk, so I am not looking to spend a lot of money on these lights, as they will get limited use.

Thanks in Advance,
MK

I used these and was able to put my stainless covers back on it.

Are you looking to replace because of damage or rather switching to LED?

I would guess the lamp is a festoon style bulb?

Maybe switch out the incandescent for a LED lamp? :ScrChin:

Something like this:

Good Luck. :thumright:

X2 for Bob - I replaced the bulbs with LED festoon bulbs and they work great.

I checked the 3 bulbs on my boat and the bulb number is no longer marked on the bulb. Does anyone know what the stock bulb number/size is?
