« on: October 05, 2018, 09:31:50 PM »
hello,
i found this 1970 19.1 and not sure if it worth restoring, i have included some pics. my question is at what point is the boat to far gone. there is no history on the boat what you see is what you get. looking for some opinions

How is the hull itself? The cap seems to be in decent shape.  The transom will probably need to be recored.
For us to see the boat condition better - use your gallery here and upload the pics and let the gallery size them properly. Attaching pics is not the best way - follow this thread to learn how to use the gallery.

just ask yourself if you are willing to put the time into doing the floor and transom. to me i would redo both so you know what you have going on. and if there are possible stringer issues are you willing to fix them it can eat alot of time up, and with material costs today can cost a few grand but can you find a nicer hull for the same price or do you need time to build up the cash to redo it?

more photos,

This would be my first big rebuild, and I'm estimating on 3-4 thousand on the transom, floor, with a new outboard I believe I could have close to 13-14 thousand into the project. Once done is the boat going to worth the much, or look for a better project ?

With trailer?

If the hull is solid I would jump all over that.

x2 ^^

If you don't have a trailer, plan ahead and see if they will transport it to your repair place and set it on a cradle you've built
