1986 Aquasport 200 Osprey
« on: August 15, 2018, 10:29:59 AM »
I have a 1986 Aquasport 200 Osprey.  I keep the boat overboard.  My concern is that when it rains water collects down below the console.  When I stand in the stern the water runs back and the pump activates.  My concern is that the water getting below decks will rot the stringer system.  Does anyone know how the stringers in the boat were installed?  Were the limbar holes glasses to prevent water intrusion.  How much of a problem can this actually be?  Very concerned, Dave

What does this mean actually?

Does anyone know how the stringers in the boat were installed?

Here's what it looks like under your deck.

The stringers are foam filled fiberglass. All aquasports were self bailing hulls. Water should not be getting below deck at all.
