Wellcraft or Aquasport?
« on: June 05, 2018, 04:34:14 PM »
Hello guys,

This is for sale in Sweden now. It looks very similar to my Aquasport, but it is called Wellcraft in the add.

https://www.blocket.se/halland/Wellcraft_21_fisherman_79389624.htm?ca=12&w=3

The add is in Swedish, but looking at the pictures, I'm wondering if this is a 20 footer?
Is it new enough to not have any plywood in the hull, deck or transom?

Thanks in advance,

Lars

Hi Lars, it has cap and the classic hatches from an Aquasport.  I'd say you are correct in your identification (a 196 or 200) and that the owner really doesn't know what he has and rebranded it.

The casting platform looks mid to late 80s Aqua.
Is there a year given in the ad? My Swedish is a little rusty.

Looks like an Aquasport to me. Mid to late 80's hull and cap. Console is different. Probably has wood in the deck and transom.

Thanks Guys!

I almost got interested in upgrading, but I love my boat, and it was a lot of work getting the transom to what it is now...

Thanks for your answers. I might give him a call and tell him it's most likely an Aquasport.
