Epoxy bonds better than other resins. Just be sure to rough up the surface before coating. The hull deck seam is subject to a lot of stress, and depending on the model year different adhesive/sealants were used. My 1979 CCP had unsealed holes(for injection of foam), so any water that made it past the rubrail had a direct path into the liner. If you think about it, as your boat cuts through the seas, water can be forced up into the hull deck seam.
Is this flotation foam or foam inside the stringers?
