You are going to get a variance of opinions here.....personally ....I changed mine from rollers to bunks, mainly because of the maintenance of the rollers was a PITA.

Photo Bucket has put a real damper on our material.

Thanks wood, any idea how long the bunks would need to be for the 22-2.

6 feet minimum. Most of the weight is taken on the boats keel on the centre spindle rollers of the trailer anyways when the boat is loaded. Mine has bow bunks as well but its probably overkill IMHO.

I just added some pics to my gallery of the bunk trailer for my 1970 222. It isn't pretty but the boat sits really well on this setup. I don't know much about trailers but this has 2 sets of smaller staggered bunks instead of 2 long bunks. The bunks are about 3 1/2" x 6" x 60". The rear bunks are spaced 56" apart, they overhang the back of the trailer frame by about 10". Front bunks are about 72" wide.

Thanks Chris, I think i'm going to try and put my supports under the stringers. Looks like you are weel supported on your keel.
