Thanks for the flax info.  That problem could be a few things. Does it run fine while cruising?  When you say cool down, does it run hot when cruising? temp?  How old is cap, rotor, wires, plugs, ignition coil?  I had an issue with my port engine hard starting, and it turned out to be timing was off 10 degrees. would run fine otherwise.  Fuel water separators good? Fuel filter inside carb?  Mine was full of crud.

Runs great not hot cruise and idle fine I was thinking it could be timing because that’s the only thing I have not changed or done other than that it starts and run perfect

Sounds like the problem then.  I replaced everything too.  Still had the problem.  Turned out it was timing.  easy fix and now ignition system is new. lol

Did you ever make it offshore this season? or run in rough water?  How did she handle?

Yes I made a trip out off shore she handles very well also do you know what kind of stringers are in this boat like wood core or solid glass ect.

Aquasport claim to fame is all glass stringers - foam filled.  Sometimes we will find re-enforcing wood in places of the stringers but for the most all glass.
