1976 222 rebuild
« on: July 04, 2017, 04:29:46 PM »
Starting a restoration project on a 222 the deck is in bad shape and I want to go ahead and cut it out and completely restore the entire boat I'm a little lost on what to do with the deck so I try to restore the old one? Or am I better off to try to make a mold for new hatches? Any suggestions has anyone tackled this? Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks

Depending on how bad the deck is you may have some options.
You could drill holes and inject thickened epoxy - this could buy you a few years.
You could cut out only the really bad stuff and patch.
You could do a floor resto.
