Coffin deck lifting
« on: June 09, 2016, 01:14:18 PM »
Replaced plywood under coffin hatch last year. Few spots are lifting. Looking for advice to either inject adhesive or sand down to wood and regelcoat. Gonna put down kiwigrip nonskid when done do appearance isn't an issue. Don't want to pull the coffin hatch again.

Hi DJ, so you re-cored the hatch?  What is delaminating?  You mentioned lifting - is that the coring on the bottom? Any pics?  We can help you more with pics. As they say, a pic is worth a thousand words....

The gel coat lifting. Hatch was recorded. Trying to avoid a whole lot if sanding. Somewhere there's a post about drilling holes and injecting resin. Might try that rout and see how it holds.
