14-1/4 * 17  3 blade..    I burn roughly 13.5 gph at 4500 rpm which is right at 29-31 mph in calm conditions..  Around 15 gph @27-29 mph offshore loaded. 43-45 mph @ 58-5900 rpm  I have a pretty big top and crows nest.. I also run pretty heavy for offshore trips...   I love the motor and I'm not that worried about fuel burn but I was hoping for 2.5 or so. 1.9-2.2 is pretty average after about 50 hours of run time...   Where are you mounted now and what prop size??

What tach do you have?

I'm running a 15 x17 Rebel prop. That is BRPs efficiency prop. It has a huge blade area and they act like a  prop with higher pitch. (Mine behaves like a 19").  I'm mounted in the third hole down from the top. My wot (depending on  load) is about 5600 at 43-44 mph.
